LAKE KAZ
One of the most important natural heritage of Tokat, Kaz Lake hosts many kinds of birds and it's a favourite lake for bird watchers.

HIGH PLATEAUS
There are several high plateaus in Tokat and its environment. The plateaus are the recreational summertime places of the local people. Some of them are significant with their facilities besides their natural beauty.

SELEMEN PLATEAU
Located in Resadiye, the plateau features the plateau market every Friday, where shopping is done by exchange without money like in the old times.

AKBELEN (BIZERI) PLATEAU
It is 29 km far from the city center, and 1740 m high. It has a wide pasture area good for skiing on grass, and surrounded with forests of pine and beech trees. There is also a trout farm serving visitors.

ÇAMİÇİ PLATEAU
It is by the Canik Mountains on the Black Sea side of Tokat, in Niksar District. There are also accommodation facilities on the plateau.

AKDAG PEAK
Alan Plateau - Akdag Peak ( 2000 m ) is one of the most significant places for mountain climbing and hard trekking. Akdag Peak is in the north of city center.

ŞENYURT
Şenyurt in Turhal district is one the most suitable areas for paragliding.

SAMAN MOUNTAIN
With the height of 1,800 m it's in Basçiftlik district and the first place paragliding performed in Tokat.

RAFTING
Kelkit River is most suitable for rafting in Erbaa district.
