ECO-TOURISM
The farm belonging to Aydin Dogan in Kelkit district is the pioneer developer of the ecological agriculture in the region. The Aydin Dogan Vocational School educates young farmers for ecological agriculture.
Gümüshane is also one of the cities joined the Eco-Agro Tourism And Voluntary Exchange Project (TaTuTa Project) organised by Bugday Association for Supporting Ecological Living.

Bahattin Kaplan and his family host the guests in thier house. The farm breeds organic corn for Dogan Organic. Guests are accepted from May to June.

DURALI SAHIN FARM
Kelkit, Gümüshane
The Sahin family with their five children host the guests at their home and dine with them. The farm is producing organic corn and barley for Dogan Organic since 1994. There are also cattle, sheep, chickens and goats. Guests are accepted in August for wheat and corn harvest, in September and October for beet and potato collecting.

Muhlis Bayer, his wife Naile Bayer and their son Mustafa host the guests in a room with toilet and bath. Guests can dine with the family. They produce organic corn and barley for Dogan Organic and breed vegetables for home use.

NURI ÇELIK FARM

Nuri Çelik, District Administrative of Kinalitas village, wellcomes 2-3 visitors with his family in his farm. They breed ecological corn and barley for Dogan Organic since 2003. August, September and October are suggested visiting months for visitors.

Visiting period is from May to August at the farm that hosts its visitors in the guesthouse near the family house. They also breed ecological corn for Dogan Organic and produce dairy vegetables for house.

TANER AKYÜZ FARM
Kelkit, Gümüshane
This is the most significant enterprise in the region with its important role in production of organic milch cows, education of the farmers, development of the employment. The farm has 800 animals including 435 milch cows. Certification of 50 contracted farmers' corn breeding in an area of 130 hectares , barley breeding in an area of 25 hectares and ecological agricaulture in an area of 800 hectares , is financed by Dogan Organic. Dogan Organic hosts maximum 10 visitors.

Zeynel Abidin Aksu Farm is hosting the visitors in the guesthouse of the farm. Three visitors can accommodate at the guesthouse. The farm breeds ecological corn and barley for Dogan Organic.

HIGH PLATEAUS
Gümüshane has a significant plateau wealth. There are 283 high plateaus in the region. Regional and local festivals are held every year in 11 plateaus. Erikbeli Plateau and Zigana Plateau are also tourism centers and have facilities for travellers.

ZIGANA PLATEAU
It's situated at 2.034 m on the passway of Zigana Mountain on the transit road to Trabzon of the Silk Road. It's one of the touristic plateaus with a ski track of 800 m , a hotel, restaurant and other facilities for indispensible needs.

KADIRGA (KÜRTÜN) PLATEAU
Erikbeli Tourism Center in Kürtün district 100 km to the city center is pretty crowded in summertime. Accommodation and facilities for indispensible needs are available. Kadirga Plateau Festival hosts nearly 40.000 people during the 3rd week of July.

TASKÖPRÜ PLATEAU
Yanbolu Brook derived from the northern peaks of Kotsan Mountain is named as Erzurum Suyu (Brook) at the upper basin, in other words at the plateau point. A vaulted bridge made of cut stones is at the point where the brook becomes narrow. In recent times vehicles are used to reach the plateau so the routes are changes and the historical bridge is not used anymore. As the Tasköprü Plateau stayed with the name of Tas Dibi, the nearby inns and shops are named as Tasköprü Yaylasi (Plateau). A hotel with 50 beds, 6 bungalows, market, restaurant, trout fish restaurant is hosting the visitors at the plateau.

MOUNTAIN CLIMBING & TREKKING
The Kusakkaya Hill close to the city center is suitable for rock climbing. Besides, Zigana Mountain and Kotsan Mountain are preferred for mountain climbing.
Gümüshane with an altitude of 1.100 m is a hilly land. Mountains reaching 3.321 at the highest point offers great opportunuties for trekking with high oxygen. The most preferred areas for trekking are Kusakkaya Tepesi, Sahin Kayasi, Lake Aygir, Kotsan Mountain, Zigana Mountain, Deveboynu Tepesi, Karadag and Abdal Musa Tepesi.

CAMPING
The hilly and green fields of Gümüshane is ideal for nature lovers. Especially the plateaus are ideal for camping. Zigana Mountain, Kadirga Plateau, Tasköprü Plateau are the most preferred areas.

HUNTING AND FRESH WATER FISHING
As the region has rich forest areas and is generally covered with bush, the fauna is well protected and the populations increased. Bear, pig, wolf, fox, marten, bobcat, chamois are the besital animals of the region. Vulture, hawk, sparrow hawk, finch, nightjar, partridge are the birds of the region. Quail, duck, woodcock, ousel are the frequently hunted birds.
In Dam Lake Kürtün fish culturing is made. In Harsit Creek carp and trout are found.

Zigana Gümüskayak Ski Center also offers grass skiing opportunities in summer. Besides Kadirga Plateau has a racecourse for grass skiing.

Süleymaniye Parish at the city center is suitable for paragliding.

RAFTING

HARSIT CREEK
Harsit Creek has 3.280 m2 of surface drainage and 132.106 m3 of average flow. International rafting races are being held in Harsit creek among a racetrack of 13 km with the organization Gümüshane Governorship.

Dam Lake Kürtün is suitable for water sports. In 2005 a big show was organized with the participation of Turkey Water-Skiing National Team, Turkey Jet Ski National Team, Navy Military Academy and the national teams of USA, Germany, Holland, Sweden and Greece.
